Since I can't seem to find a post up on the subject yet, I thought I'd start the discussion. Who's going? Who wants to share a room? I'm hoping to come over from England, but it's all dependant on if I can A) get the money together, and B) know a few people before going so I can make plans and have a good time and what not. Let's get networking!
Its likely i'll be going, though again, its all about the money. I'll be able to give a yes, or no in a few months.
So want to but am seeing about vacation time from work.
It's most likely that I'm going. There's a Flute convention in Chicago that I'll be attending, but I have been wanting to go to the NFB convention since last year. So, yeah. I'll be working my way there.
Well, I had originally planned to go but right now I am not sure. There has been a big change and as of right now I am not sure what I will be doing around that time as far as work is concerned, but I hope to pull it off somehow. There will be some people who I have been wanting to meet that are going this year and I had all ready made plans to meet up with them, though I can't say whether or not I will now. It just goes to show how things can change in a matter of days.

Hmm, Gizmo, I'll try to find those dates for you. I doubt i'm going. One, I dont' think I can get the vacation from work. And two, if I'm going to spend that kind of money, I want to spend it on something different than Convention. I've gone to many, and although there are many things I like about them, at this point, it seems like it's just the same things every year. So unless I hear of something completely unique to this year, probably not. And no, Maurer stepping down does not count, since we already know who his replacement will be.
I know nothing about the national convensions. What do you mean they're the same every year? I've never been to one but like the OP I wouldn't want to go without knowing someone. I also would not mind sharing a room with a female only though. If someone could get me the dates and a rough estimate of cost maybe we can plan something!
